The Immediate Impact of Brexit on the QLTS Assessments

Brexit impact – The vote in the UK referendum of 23 June 2016 to leave the EU has no impact on the QLTS syllabus since the vote itself makes no immediate change to the position of the UK within the EU. Once the UK has served the notice to leave the EU in accordance with Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, it will take about two years to negotiate and finalise the terms of the departure agreement (if such agreement is reached at all).

Whenever the law will change as a result of the vote, QLTS School will provide all its registered candidates with a ‘Brexit Update Package’ at no additional cost, which will be available to download online. This will allow you to commence your preparation immediately without interference.

However, no changes are expected in the short term, so the outcome of the referendum should not affect your plans to commence the dual-qualification process.
