Terms and Conditions of QLTS SQE1 & SQE2 Preparation Courses

Last updated: 31 January, 2026

Terms and Conditions of QLTS SQE1 Preparation Course

  1.  All course materials, except for the textbooks which are also provided in hard copy, are available online exclusively through our learning management system (“SQE Learning”). You can access them using your unique username and password, which will be provided to you by QLTS School. Delivery times of the hard copy textbooks are from the day an order is placed. They do not include time delays caused by the imposition of local customs or import taxes, if any. Any taxes added by the local government for shipments outside of the UK are the responsibility of the candidate. Delivery may require a signature for receipt.
  2.  The copyright of all course materials remains that of QLTS School. Such materials may not be reproduced whether in all or in part by any method whatsoever, without prior permission having been given in writing by QLTS School. Apart from a few exceptions as determined by QLTS School exclusively, the online course materials cannot be downloaded or printed.
  3.  All course materials are watermarked with the purchaser’s unique identifier version code. QLTS School will use this information, your login details, device type and identification number, and location of access to track any items that have been used by, shared and/or distributed to any other person, contrary to these terms and conditions.
  4.  Access to SQE Learning, the online training system, and the availability of the initial consultation with a tutor, including the 2 hours of tutor support, are from the date of enrolment to the course and cover the first two consecutive sittings of the SQE1 assessment administered by the assessment provider, or until you have passed SQE1, whichever happens first. Following this period, the candidate’s access to the online training system will expire, and QLTS School will not provide any further services to the candidate. If a candidate passes either FLK1 or FLK2 only, QLTS School will remove the content of the already-passed FLK from SQE Learning and the remaining FLK will then be available until the expiration of the course period.
  5.  Notwithstanding the above, candidates who purchased their course in the same calendar month as, or the calendar month immediately preceding, a scheduled SQE1 assessment (e.g., on or after 1 December or 1 June) will have the option to begin their course with a pre-prep period. During this period, they will have partial access to SQE Learning, the extent of which will be determined solely at the discretion of QLTS. The pre-prep period will continue until the conclusion of the first SQE1 assessment administered by the assessment provider following course purchase. To exercise the pre-prep period option, the candidate must send an email to pre-prep@qlts.co.uk within seven days of purchasing the course. If the pre-prep period option is chosen, access to SQE Learning will expire after the third consecutive sitting of the SQE1 assessment administered by the assessment provider following course purchase, or when the candidate has passed SQE1, whichever happens first.
  6.  Your online account and course materials are for your sole use and may not be used by, shared, transferred, sold or offered to any other person except yourself by any means.
  7.  If QLTS School determines that any candidate has violated the policies set forth here or any applicable laws or regulations, it reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny further access to the candidate’s online account, without limiting any other rights or remedies it may have. Where course materials are determined to have been used by, transferred to, or in any way shared with anyone other than you, whether for monetary consideration or not, such remedies include, but are not limited to, recovery of the full course fees (in the amount at the time of the violation), for each unauthorised distribution.
  8.  Any unauthorised use of the course materials may constitute both a breach of contract and an infringement of copyright. The intellectual property provisions of these terms and conditions shall survive the expiry or termination of the candidate’s access to SQE Learning. For guidance, candidates can refer to QLTS School’s Intellectual Property & Copyright Enforcement Policy: https://www.qlts.co.uk/ip-policy/
  9.  Course fees do not include any fees payable to the SRA or the assessment provider. Further applications should be made by the candidate to sit the assessments and to apply for admission as a solicitor with the SRA. QLTS School is not responsible for whether or not you meet the SRA eligibility criteria for admission or if, for any reason whatsoever, you do not book your seat for the assessment.
  10.  You must have internet access to access SQE Learning. The loading time and quality of the online content depend on the bandwidth of your Internet connection. While the content is accessible through a PC, QLTS School is not responsible for any Internet connection issues, nor for the content’s compatibility with tablets, Apple and Android devices.
  11.  Due to local regulatory restrictions, candidates located in China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam may have limited access to some of the online course materials. Consequently, they may solely gain access to these materials by utilising a VPN or employing other bypassing methods.
  12.  You acknowledge that the textbooks and access to SQE Learning online portal (such access referred to as the ‘service’) are personalised and made on request based on the number of subjects you are required to pass by the SRA, and that the textbooks and online materials are updated on a frequent basis due to changes in the law.
  13.  Course fees must be paid in full upon enrolment and are non-refundable. Bookings will not be processed until payment is received. VAT is not applicable to the course fees. In relation to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers expressly request and agree that the supply of the service to them will begin when we send them an email and make the service available to them for the first time. The service will be made available within 1-2 working days following receipt of the order and the payment. Consumers acknowledge that they will not have the right to cancel the order once the supply of the service has begun.
  14.  Legal professionals, paralegals, lawyers, law lecturers, judges, law students, and aspiring solicitors hereby acknowledge that by signing up for this course, they are acting in the course of their profession.
  15.  Following enrolment on the course, you will receive an email with a link to download a questionnaire. It is your responsibility to download, complete, and return the questionnaire to QLTS School. The questionnaire will then be forwarded to one of our tutors, who will contact you directly to arrange a time for the initial consultation. It is your responsibility to respond to the tutor and set up a time for the initial consultation. The consultation will take place over the phone, on Teams, or via GoToMeeting. The customised study plan will be sent to you by email following the initial consultation. Failure to complete and return the questionnaire, liaise with the tutor to arrange the consultation, cancelling it less than 48 hours before the agreed time, or failing to attend at the agreed time will result in forfeiture of your initial consultation and customised study plan. The initial consultation and customised study plan will be provided only once. Deferral of the test or any change in your circumstances affecting the timetable suggested by the tutor will not entitle you to a second consultation or study plan.
  16.  QLTS School endeavours to protect your personal data. Please see our Privacy Policy (https://www.qlts.co.uk/privacy-policy/) to help you understand what we may do with any personal information that we obtain from you and your rights regarding this data. By providing your personal details to us, you signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy.
  17.  Whilst all reasonable care has been taken in the preparation of the course materials, neither QLTS School nor any of the authors accept responsibility for any errors it may contain or for any loss sustained, by any person placing reliance upon its contents. Consequential loss shall be deemed to include, but is not limited to, failure in any assessment, any loss of profits or anticipated profits, damage to reputation or goodwill, loss of business or anticipated business, damages, costs, expenses incurred or payable to any third party or any other indirect or consequential losses.
  18.  In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, the seat, or legal place, of dispute resolution shall be London, UK. The language to be used in the proceedings shall be English.
  19.  All disputes shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) Rules, which Rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference into this clause. The number of arbitrators shall be one.
  20.  QLTS School’s liability under this agreement shall not exceed the amount of the course fees (in British Pounds) paid by the candidate to QLTS School.
  21.  The governing law of this agreement shall be the substantive law of England and Wales.
