Following Kaplan opening the registration for the February 2017 MCT assessment, booking is now also available with Pearson VUE.
The application to sit the MCT assessment involves two stages:
1. Registration with Kaplan QLTS, the sole assessment provider on behalf of the SRA – deadline is set for 6 December 2016
2. Booking an assessment seat and date with Pearson VUE, which can only be made once you have registered with Kaplan (Pearson delivers the MCT online in conjunction with Kaplan) – deadline is set for 28 December 2016
Candidates who attempt to book after this date are very unlikely to be able to secure a place. Please make sure you are aware of these cut-off dates and the two-stage registration process. From past experience, places for the MCT tend to fill-in very quickly, hence early registration and booking are strongly advised if you plan to sit the MCT on 8 February, 2017.
You must follow these two steps to enrol yourself onto the MCT assessments. More information is available on Kaplan website: http://qlts.kaplan.co.uk/booking. To register with Kaplan, please follow the instructions under ‘Submit a registration form’. After completing the form with Kaplan, you should receive an automated acknowledgement of your registration, following which you will be contacted by Pearson VUE within 21 days to begin the booking process for the MCT. There is no financial obligation when registering with Kaplan – you will only be asked to pay the assessment fees when booking an assessment with Pearson VUE. You will then have the option to select your testing venue, subject to availability – more information is available here: http://www.pearsonvue.com/kaplan/qlts/. You can also check there if the MCT is available at your location.
Once you have booked a place on the MCT with Pearson VUE, all further information in connection with the booking will be provided to you by email by Pearson VUE (such as confirmation of the date of the assessment, address at which the assessment is to be held, the time at which you must report to the assessment centre and the start time for the MCT).
An exam tutorial for candidates is offered by Pearson here: http://www.pearsonvue.com/kaplan/qlts/Kaplan-QLTS-Exam-Tutorial-for-candidates.pdf. Check our free sample MCT test, with 20 questions here: https://www.qlts.co.uk/sample/flash.html
